Welcome to the first post on HAND! I want to share recipes, and as I thought about it realized that I would also like to share other crafty diversions...I am not sure whats to come but I am excited.
Today I am off to buy stuff for Moussaka and peruse the thrift shops for costumes to be used in my fashion drawing class. Typically this blog will revolve around these 2 main events: Thrift shops and Cooking, with side trip into fancier realms, music and art, travel and more art and some health.
Speaking of health, I have been eating and cooking with food combining in mind and have this to share. It is wonderful if you have trouble digesting or are tired and ick after meals. Also I lost some weight. Here are the basics as I have digested them from different sites on the subject, he he.. Eating starches with meat/protien can be hard to digest because of the 2 different environments that need to exist simultaneously in the stomach: acid and alkaline, so it is recommend to eat them separately. Starches with vegetables, and meats and protiens with vegetables. Basically I cook pastas, rice, etc. with veg's and meats the same.never meat and potatoes as it were. Enough for now, I will write more and post links on this subject. I will also be posting recipes following these guidelines, (sometimes loosely).
Soo, Mousaka is actually very much a food combo style recipe so I will post details after I make it today.
